DG HOME manages the AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund) and the ISF (Internal Security Fund), those funds place significant emphasis on the external dimension of migration (See, The Commission, A Ogranisational structure, I The College of Commissioners, e Directorates-General, Migration & Security Funds)In 2016 DG HOME contributed to 75.8 million euros to the emergency assistance which supported Triton and Poseidon operations in the Mediterranean. He encompasses functionnal responsibility since he was a member of DG HOME.
