Dirk Vande Ryse

Dirk Vande Ryse, as head of the Frontex Situation Centre, oversees the central hub where all information relevant to border operations is collected, processed, and shared. The centre provides “information access for all Frontex stakeholders” and is responsible for situation monitoring, serving as the main contact point for joint operational support, media monitoring, mission awareness, crisis management, and operational back-up. Because it manages the distribution of operational intelligence, the Situation Centre is also the channel through which information is shared with external partners, including Libyan authorities.
