Benedetto Giuntini

Benedetto Giuntini served as Chief of the Office V- Migration policies, international protection, international deployments of the DG Italian Citizens Abroad and Migration Policies, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Chief of Office V reports to the Deputy General Director/Principal Director for migration policies of the DG. The Office V works on issues related to international cooperation and migration management. The DG Italian Citizens Abroad and Migration Policies was involved for the management and allocation of funds made available via the Fondo Africa, whose 2.5 million were spent for border management projects in Libya. The Office V supported the work on this matter. It is reasonable to assume that Benedetto Giuntini, as the Chief of Office V, was aware that the fund would have been used for border management activities and this action could have hampered the stabilisation of Libya.
